Kick off a financial literacy slogan contest. You can create your own or compete nationally with organizations like W!SE.
Have students write an essay about what they would do with a million dollars or about hypothetical financial advice they might give someone in a particular situation. For example, the Council for Economic Education conducted a Student Writing Contest.
Use competitions
H&R Block conducts a Budget Challenge. The competition includes an online simulation game in which students learn about living on their own. They must budget, manage expenses, and invest for retirement.
The SIMFA Foundation sponsors an annual Capitol Hill Challenge for students who play the Stock Market Game. The challenge matches members of Congress with students, teachers, and schools playing the game.
